New memories unfold with every ring—celebrating triumphs, forging lasting friendships, and reconnecting with cherished acquaintances amid the breed’s elegant displays. As the pinnacle event of the year for Skye enthusiasts, the National Specialty honors the breed’s fearless legacy with a lineup of timeless traditions and fresh innovations. We can’t wait to welcome you all for an unforgettable gathering that captures the heart of the Skye Terrier world!

While many of us will soon be off to Colorado for a fun filled and action-packed Skye Terrier Weekend for the sixth annual Columbine Skye Terrier Club Specialty Show, we are now in the final planning stages for our 117th STCA National Specialty Show held in conjunction with the Montgomery County Kennel Club (MCKC) Terrier Weekend. It will begin on Thursday October 1st with the two Hatboro Dog Club shows followed by the Devon Dog Association show and capped off with the MCKC Show on Sunday, October 4th so mark your calendars!
In both this package and on the STCA Website, you will find all the information you will need to do all your MCKC Weekend planning including specific dates, events and more; and this year, for the first time, you will be able to place MCKC catalog ads and make Awards Dinner reservations using the STCA Website at skyeterrierclubofamerica.org. First up, please consider placing an ad in the MCKC catalog. This supports the STCA (we get money back on each ad) and you don’t need to use a show photo. All the information you need to place an ad is attached and on the Website as well (see the Shop tab, National Specialties) but the due date for sending in your ad copy is Wednesday August 18th so please act quickly. Next up, do you participate in performance events? Perhaps you will qualify for the STCA Versatility Award. All the information and the application form can be found on the STCA Website as well as attached here. Completed applications need to be submitted by August 29th to the STCA Treasurer by email at treasurer@skyeterrierclubofamerica.org again using the STCA Website at skyeterrierclubofamerica.org. (Events Tab, National Specialty).
Lastly, we are returning to the Holiday Inn in Lansdale, PA which will serve as our Host Hotel and this will also be the location for our STCA Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner on Friday evening, October 2nd.
A block of rooms has been reserved for STCA Members and will be held until September 8th so be sure to reserve as soon as possible. As for the STCA Dinner, as previously noted you can make your reservations on-line on the STCA Website. Robyn Hand is in charge of both hotel and dinner reservation plans so any questions should be directed to her at jayroy@penn.com .
