Membership Types & Benefits

• Regular Membership ($35 annually): For U.S. citizens or residents 18+ in good standing with the AKC who own or co-own an AKC-registered Skye Terrier. Enjoy full voting rights, eligibility to hold office, access to our member directory, events calendar, newsletters, and exclusive resources like breeder referrals and educational seminars. Sponsors: Two Regular Members who’ve known you for at least two years.
• Associate Membership ($35 annually): For U.S. citizens or residents in good standing with the AKC. All privileges except voting and holding office—ideal for newcomers. Upgrade to Regular when you acquire a Skye. Sponsors: Two Regular Members (or one if acquired from a club member/rescue).
• Foreign Membership ($35+ annually, plus postage): For non-U.S. residents who own a Skye registered with their country’s body. Same privileges as Associates. Sponsors: Two Regular Members.

How to Join

Fill out the online application form below. Your sponsors must complete the Sponsor Form and dues (except for Associate upgrades). Your application will be reviewed by the Board after a 30-day membership notice, requiring a majority vote for approval. If needed, sponsors can present at the next annual meeting for a 90% member vote. Whether you’re a seasoned breeder or a devoted owner, joining the STCA connects you to a supportive network celebrating the Skye Terrier’s fearless spirit.
