Skyes are alert protectors with a strong prey drive, needing a fenced yard or leash walks to stay safe. Skyes were originally bred to hunt formidable vermin on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Because of this, they tend to chase small animals. They do best in homes where they can practice their natural instincts in a safe way. Skye Terriers excel at sports like FastCAT and Barn Hunt, and also love a game of fetch or a trip to go swimming.
